Before I went on vacation I decided that I needed to get serious about getting to the gym. Well, now I’m back and followed through with my decision. I joined Pikes Peak CrossFit and had my first “on-ramp” class today. I knew that I was out of shape, but damn. The first 40 minutes or so was all introductory to learn how to do some of the exercises. That went pretty well and I felt good about it. Then there was a “base-line” workout that consisted of: 400 meter run 10 pull-ups 20 push-ups 30 sit-ups 40 squats The whole thing took me just under 13 minutes. In the grand scheme of things it was really, really sad. I was a bit winded by the end of the run. The pull-ups were assisted and were basically 1 at a time with very little form. The push-ups were a bit better
