…or treadmill in this case.
So it’s been almost 15 days since the last time I posted anything on here. Somehow I managed to lose sight of my weight loss and fitness goals somewhere near the beginning of that 15 days.
I managed to revert back to my old eating habits for the most part and I suffered for it a bit. My attitude deteriorated and my sleep patterns went to almost non-existent.
Over the weekend I decided that I needed to get my act together and get back on track with eating right, going to the gym and (hopefully) sleeping better and on a more regular schedule.
I went food shopping over the weekend and bought healthy foods like salmon, brown rice, green vegetables, fruits and juices. I spent a bit of extra money to make sure that what I was getting was (for the most part) organic.
When I got home from the store I cleared my refrigerator of all the stuff in there that I probably shouldn’t have in there. Basically when I was done, my fridge was empty.
I was in bed by 11pm last night, which is exceptionally early for me as of late and was up at 5:15 this morning to get my day started the right way (for me anyway). I hit the gym.
I only ran for 15 minutes, but it ended up being 1.25 miles and after I worked through a couple of tight calves, the run felt good.
There was a bit of apprehension about following my normal routine of getting on the scale after a workout since I hadn’t been to the gym in more than a week.
But I got on the scale anyway.
When I got on and saw that I had managed to gain none of that weight back (still at 199 pounds) I was amazed and very excited! Though I had managed to slip up for a week, I managed to maintain.
I think what helped was getting in a Isagenix shake every morning shortly after waking up. I’ve heard that getting in a good amount of protein within an hour of waking up dramatically impacts the way our body burns fat throughout the rest of the day.
Please feel free to leave comments, ideas or any thoughts you may have!
David-what a great awareness. It is true though how easy it is to lose sight of what we have accomplished and how good we were feeling until the old life starts slipping back in and sucking us dry again. What’s great about Isagenix is you can make the decision anytime to step right back into the program. You might even consider having 2 oz of Ionix Supreme. 1 oz in the morning and 1 oz before bed time. Ionix Supreme is one of the greatest equalizers for stress and improved energy. Welcome back!
